I am an herbalist and acupuncturist who tailors your herbal prescription to optimize your body's innate healing properties.
My healing methods include a combination of Western medical knowledge, modern thinking, and the wisdom of thousands of years of Eastern healing remedies, to help my patients achieve their health goals.
MENTORS
There are so many people who have inspired me over my career in Eastern Medicine. I am constantly grateful to all the wonderful teachers who’ve come into my life. The three shown below remain the most influential.

Dr. Matt Van Benschoten
“Dr. Matt” was a leader in the research and practice of herbal medicine for over 30 years. He modeled the relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence in medicine. He created a unique diagnostic technique that reveals the underlying issues to target the most energetically compatible herbal prescription. It is my honor and privilege to continue his herbal legacy.

Dr. Roger Hirsh
Roger taught me how to connect with patients where they are to reveal the hidden messages that lie between the patient and their ailment. He modeled applying creative prescriptions that often went beyond herbs and acupuncture to facilitate healing of the patient’s spirit. Before I knew anything about Eastern Medicine he taught me that the treatment of the patient begins the moment they make their appointment.

Gloria Elphand
My mother originally wanted a career in medicine which she was discouraged from pursuing due to the social mores of the 1940’s. She was always obsessed with health and knew everyone at Sunshine Vitamins on Oak Lawn in Dallas. She showed me what it looks like to REALLY care for the needs of a sick person. How to bolster their neck or wrap their sprained ankle. Making sure to always give them a bell so that they knew you would hear their call. She had an exuberance for life and curiosity for keeping her body in good shape. This photo of her was taken at 89 years of age.
